About the Project/О Проекте
Malin Genie is a collection of unique and original resources–quizzes, writing samples, tutorials and study guides–all designed for learners of Russian at an advanced level. Since there are no resources about the much-dreaded ТРКИ-4 exam aside from the one official paper and a few online quizzes that copy its content word for word, this website comes to fill that void. Here’s a peek of my TORFL-4 certificate and also an ordered guide to all the parts of TRKI-4.
About me/Обо мне
My name is Daria and I live in Saint Petersburg, Russia.
Long story short, I teach and learn foreign languages–that’s when I’m not translating or subtitling. I’m a native speaker of Polish, an English major (M.Ed.), and I also speak Russian fluently. I am fairly fluent in French, I know some German and Italian.
Also, I am semi-active on Twitter and Instagram for those who’ve asked.
The challenge of having to prepare for the TRKI-4 that I needed in order to become a professional translator in Russia rekindled my long forgotten passion for both learning and teaching languages. So much so in fact that, having passed the much dreaded test, I decided to create a resource for learning Russian at an advanced level using my own experience and materials I’ve collected in the process.
Please add material about English und German
Congratulations on your certificate and on the site as well. It’s becoming pretty impressive.
